Dead Poets Society is a 1989 award-winning American drama film directed by Peter Weir, written by Tom Schulman, and starring Robin Williams, Ethan Hawke, and Robert Sean Leonard. The story follows a group of boys on the verge of adulthood who attend a 1950s Catholic preparatory school and whose lives are forever changed upon the meeting of an eccentric English teacher, John Keating.
